flybig announces new connectivity under RCS in the North East
flybig, a scheduled airline promoted by pilot-turned-aviation entrepreneur, Capt. Sanjay Mandavia, and launched its services early this year, will commence operations in the North East region of India from mid-May. flybig will initially launch services connecting Guwahati to Rupsi and Kolkata. The airline has plans to expand its services to more cities in the region like Agartala, Dibrugarh, Tezu and Pasighat from both Guwahati and Shillong.

flybig will be launching and expanding its operations leveraging the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India under UDAN.

The airline operates ATR72 type of aircraft. The product proposition is ideal for the target customer segments as it offers brilliant connectivity to all emerging cities within the specific region, convenient flight timings and exceptional hospitality.

Commenting on the launch of new services, Captain Srinivas Rao, CEO, flybig said, “We are extremely happy that flybig is taking its vision one-step ahead by commencing the operations in North-East India and providing regional connectivity to remote areas like Rupsi, Pasighat and Tezu. We are determined to provide essential and safe travel to everyone at this crucial time our country is going through. The airline has commenced taking bookings for the new routes which will be available through flybig website, online travel agencies and regional travel partners.
